heheheeee think harden till like dunno what

tell me about it, i had a set of 4-yr-old tyres on my ex-33 sportwagon when i just bought the car. i did a launch in the wet just for fun to try the grip, all that happened when i pop the clutch was the front wheels were just spinning on the spot, car was stationary. i held on the throttle at around 4000 rpm for dunno how long and nothing happened ....

waaah.....he did 60,000 km in 5 years? not driving much huh?

===================================================================

I cover 12,000km a year on average, on the low side.

When I want to sell my car, I'll let you know. [laugh]

actually low mileage doesnt necessarily equals to healthy engine, especially in our city driving condition. i see a lot of low mileage but sick cars that engine is really choked up. just like a human being, a person that doesnt do much exercise will be unfit, when asked to run a 2.4km will not be able to make it.

you can see in US car ads, people will indicate whether their car's mileage are mostly city mileage or highway mileage.

some years back, my father bought an Audi 100 2.3 from my uncle, 5 years with only 25,000km. i took it to malaysia and the car couldnt even go above 160kmh. that's why i rather buy a high mileage but very well maintained engine/car.

Yup the ones that hogs the road, the ones that makes you wanna kick butt type. bounce1.gifbounce1.gif

wah... not all drivers with Aspec Db are like that lah.. but i do wonder whether the few accidents I saw involving skidded cars on CNY are due to that tires sweatdrop.gif [/reply]

most likey yes. If you notice, there are some tyres on SG cars that indicates Eco. That means re-threaded tyres meant for 3rd world. Or tyres for S/M (Snow / Mud). These tyres are cheap, but the tyre shop pass them off as regular tyres and sell them to drivers that don't know much. During dry roads, its still alright. When rain falls..... good luck.

How the brake on your ride now? [sly][:p]

dunno yet, still running in after 500km. i will run for another 200-300 km before i do some hard braking to sit the brakes in properly. then it will be e-brake and adjust my front/rear brake bias.

so far initial feel is much better, but the real test will be at pasir gudang to see if it holds up to the abuse ....
