Car lengthened by 4 at the front to fit the engine and bits in

[*]1.8-litre Honda V-tec Type R engine from a 1998 Civic Type R

[*]Weber throttle bodies with four pipercross air filters on ram intakes

[*]DTA fully programmable engine management system under dashboard which can be remapped from a laptop whilst driving

[*]Honda Integra Type R limited-slip diff

[*]Specially modified K-Series Metro subframe with brackets for Honda engine mounts

[*]Coil-over suspension conversion

[*]K-Series Rover Metro discs and calipers

[*]Competition driveshafts

[*]Rover 100 5-spoke alloys (13 X 6) with Bridgestone tyres

[*]Leather interior

[*]Twin centre-exit exhaust

 

And the result of all this jiggery pokery are 235bhp at 7700rpm, a red-line of 9000rpm and a 0-60mph time of 4.5 seconds! Not only that but it tops out at 141mph and can cover the standing quarter in 12.5 seconds!

Wrong! In S'pore also can pass inspection, provided you know some people from the inspectio0n centres. Just don't get stopped by LTA officers on the road.

 

I know of someone who fitted a 2l engine in his 1.6l Vitara
