David325 1st Gear January 3, 2004 Share January 3, 2004 well. the new 1.6l altis auto is selling for only 72K. While if yours is the old G9 1.6A most probably u paid more than 80K. Next imagine u are a new car buyer, what price will u pay for a 2nd hand FL G9 if the current G9 altis is selling for 72K. ↡ Advertisement
Bionix77 Neutral Newbie January 4, 2004 Author Share January 4, 2004 heh heh, actually i like both the cars as both looks good in their own ways, wish i could buy both at the same time... why is it that most dun the suv after a while?? Used to drive a toyota liteace... the added height quite shiok.. heh heh, sort of miss the feeling so the RX300 seems to offer a chance to bring it back. Is the handling really that bad for an suv?? David325 1st Gear January 4, 2004 Share January 4, 2004 hmm quite true.. but how much u willing to sell yr car for?
Jman888 Moderator January 4, 2004 Share January 4, 2004 just check out the website, is the resale value equal to the remaining parf plus remaining coe value?? That will be the value if u scrap it now and if u sell it to the dealer, they will offer $2-3K more. If sell direct, maybe not more than $5K. It will be at least $20K-$25K write off. As other mentioned, RX300 is not really a good car (saw a worst review on this vehicle last week). Maybe can consider CRV. Again u are talking of different car of different performance and price

Buzz Neutral Newbie January 5, 2004 Share January 5, 2004 Given the current market condition, there will be few takers for your car. There is a high likely hood that it will be exported and so is a worth only a few K above scrap. If you are going for the 6 do not go to Mazda Motor as they will not give you a good price for your G9. Go to their authroized dealers, they can give you a better price. My friend went to both places and MM only give him 2K above scrap but the authorzed dealer gave him 6K above because they also deal in 2nd hand cars. Personally I would go for the 2.3 6 as it would be a better drive, heard that the RX300 handling is not that good and FC will kill you given its weight and 4WD and also road tax If really wanna get why not the harrier, it is almost the same thing at a much cheaper price ↡ Advertisement
