Buzz Neutral Newbie December 24, 2003 Share December 24, 2003 Hi Spider, it is available in Singapore but with different look and name. Long story short, Toyota and Pontiac jointly developed the Vibe which is what Pontiac marketed in the US. It has Pontiac styling but Toyota engine and it is built at a plant in California. Toyota also sell the vehicle in the States but like what you mentioned it is sold as the Matrix which is made in Canada. Don't know why but Japan sells the same car but it is actually the Vibe but renamed Voltz. You can see it running on our roads, it is however only bought in by the PI. Here are some pictures for you. Kopi_peng Neutral Newbie December 26, 2003 Share December 26, 2003 how diff is the matrix vs the wish?
Wh1tehat Neutral Newbie December 26, 2003 Share December 26, 2003 Wish is an MPV for 7 pax, whilst Voltz is actually a sports wagon/SUV for 5 pax, no 3rd row... in a nutshell, the clear difference.
Buzz Neutral Newbie December 26, 2003 Share December 26, 2003 Yup Mr Hat is correct But both car share the same engine, 1ZZ-FE VVT-i, even the 2WD Rav 4 also use this engine. Oh also the Wish is made in Japan while the Matrix / Voltz is either made in Canada or US. The Wish is a mini MPV like the Stream while the Matrix/Voltz is a Sports Utility Vehicle (Toyota Speak). The boot is made from hard plastic so that it is easily washed plus it has anchor points all around so that you can tied down your surf boards or bicycle.
