TB,

After we done the 4 grounding point into the engine. I observed a few things.

1. Engine is quieter

2. The car seems to rev very high

3. From Layman point of view, it feels more "power" and fuel burning seems to be more efficient. My fuel tank when was at your place was barely 1/2 tank at 325km.

Now it cross near to 65% and it shows 420km. ( I cruised alone AYE/BKE last night).

You are right, grounding the engine (which the Corolla seems lacking) is more effective.

THerefore, total grounding point for corolla 7 (possible 9 if we go for the 2 almost unreachable accessory point).

Thanks... will keep you posted.

I think Fyrestomp rolla needs to be grounded. maybe can try the engine. It may yield some results.

IMO, an improperly aligned car can have an adverse effect to it's handling. It could be more than just accelerated tyre wear. Should not save that $60. [:p] Anyway 1 tyre alone costs more than $60.

<7. Alu Wrap on Coolent Recycle Tube>

Why don't you use Aerotape over the coolant tube? If your aim is to reduce heat radiation, the Aerotape will do nicely. Aluminium wrappings is not efficient as aluminium conducts heat easily.

If your aim is to cool down the tube, I believe it is an exercise of futility. First, cooling occurs at the radiator. Second, rubber is a very poor heat conductor, so whatever heat you could get out is negligible compared to the whole cooling system in general. Third, wrapping aluminium sheets leaves many air pockets, which traps heat instead! Four, flat aluminium is ineffecient in removing heat. An ideal constructions requires multiple fins with plenty of air running through it (this sounds like the radiator itself!).

So the only logical application is to reduce heat radiation, not cooling function.

Just my $0.02.

I did my last alignment at AutoAcc in Loyang but it's not exactly cheap, at abt $70. They do have the latest software for most vehicles, though. And the workmanship is not too bad.

For my G9, the tube is actually hot from the inside cos the water recycles.

Did the AeroTape before and my car temp guage rose..

According to the air-con mechanics principle, Alu wrap is used to disperse the heat.

So, when driving the air inside the bonnet cools the tube. Now, I can touch the hose immediately after I drive for hours and not get burn...

If you take a look at the air-con compressor in your home, it is the same principle.

Anway, after I Alu wrap it, the temp dropped drastically.

If Fyrestomp does the same amount of grounding for U I'll run out of wires soon! [laugh]
