Mine too...

Sometimes got to go near the door in order toactivate it.

Even outside of driver's window also cannot sometimes.

So, dun know what happen. Seow Seow one...

I went to TLW in Alexandra and to have a trade in. The price of the new alarm cost S$95.00. Do you think its worth it?

Its features are the same except that when ever you step on brake, all doors will be locked. Unlike now, stepping on brakes does not activate door locked.

I'm thinking in terms of safety features as i've kids in my car....

mine is the opposite, to near to the vehicle cannot activate must stand far away then it is working. Heard from someone, it could be due to the frequency is out, need to tune the frequency on the remote(handheld unit). Duno where to get it tune???? cheers.

You have to go back to komoco and adjust the frequency. To replace a new remote cost you $45/- with a warrantly of one year. you can adjust the frequency of the remote by....

1. You need a ultra small philp screwdriver.

2. Dismantle the remote by unscrewing the screw at the back portion of the remote.

3. After dismantling, you will notice a small screw in the LCD, try to screw it clock or anticlockwise by standing approximately 20 metres away from your vehicle and in the same time activate the remote.( a small button in the LCD ). if the alarm sounds, ok, fix it up and thats it.

Did you guys drop your remote. That is what happen to mine and thereafter the remote unit became insensitive. After tuning session, it works fine for a period. After one wek or so of usage the problem crops up again. I suspect some of the component is loose becuase of the "fall". Do take care of the remote and I do believe they are not "shock proof". Cheers....

Nope....

Always on my workig table once i reached office.

So....am thinking of changing it. Reason is because have to manual lock the car when car is moving once engine starts.

is yours those after market type? normally, when you open up the cover, you'll see a small potential meter (a very small screw), the screw is about the size of those specticals. Get a 'jewel' screw ( -ve or minus or flat head type) & you can start to adjust it slowly & at the same time activate the remote lock/unlock nod.gifnod.gifnod.gif Starting from very near the car & slowly moving a distance away & repeating the procedure again & again thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

Open up the remote control, saw the potential meter also tried to turn it using a flat-tip screwdriver, look pretty alright to adjust. Will try that out tomorrow, duwan to wake the neighbourhood in the middle of the night by doing it now. hehe ..thanks... [laugh]
