Kwlee123 Neutral Newbie November 13, 2003 Share November 13, 2003 (edited) I use Maquire products on my red car. But after waxing, I have no problem removing the residue. However I noticed the wax (cleaners wax)left some oilly marks on my car. Even though i use 3M microfibre cloth, it still take me a while to remove them. Anyone can help?? Kwlee123 Neutral Newbie November 14, 2003 Author Share November 14, 2003 I am using Meguiars' Cleaner's Wax (liquid type), QuckWax (spraytype) and Quick Detailer (Spray type). All leave me with oily streak which is difficult to remove.
Autocraze Neutral Newbie November 15, 2003 Share November 15, 2003 Hi, I am assuming car is free of contaminations & cloths used are clean. I have no complaints with the quick detailer (used it before) & quickwax (have not use it before). As for cleaner's wax, I dropped it half way through because of same experience as yours. As this product does not require one to wait for it to haze before buffing off, therefore u need to work on a small area 1st & fast. Apply a small portion on a cotton cloth & spread it evenly onto a small area. Have another dry cotton cloth & use it to buff off the wax immediately. Move on to other areas repeating same step. Never apply to much or let the product dry by itself on your paintwork because end of the day, you may have a good shine but different depthness (can be seen clearly under bright sunlight). For the oily streak, I use a spray type polish to get rid of the patchy portion. And also, never wax car when it's hot...very bad... If the polish does not work, you may need to consider clay bar, then re-wax again. Alternatively, u may consider other brand of waxes.. Hope it helps... ↡ Advertisement
