Hammy Neutral Newbie December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 Not really, I have only wash my car once and I done a inpsection after that and confirmed that. The marks only appear last night which was raining when I was travelling home, and I noticed it when I reached my mscp. As for the cloth, I used chamois and those small wiper (with light stroke just to sweep off the water). I think I better leave it as it is, and maybe sent for wax and polish yearly (or maybe DIY). Do you all have a W&W session meetup? Can I join? Thanks
Steelblue Neutral Newbie December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 I'll say the culprit is the 'wiper'
Hammy Neutral Newbie December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 But I clean the wiper for every stroke that I do. Maybe I should bo chap liao . Thanks anyway.
Pjct3 Neutral Newbie December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 yea..its not about shine at the begining coz you get the same shine for any brand!!!!the issue is how long it can last..... if you can get the same shine afte 3-6 months without much maintenance then its.. Glare give written warranty on shine for 18 months. My ride oredi 20 months since my glare polish. Trust me, the shine still remains....

Pjct3 Neutral Newbie December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 1 thing i feel that they clean the interior v good. dunno what they use on the dashboard I need not to clean for v long time. but for the leather so so... The stuff that glare use for interior is leather / pvc conditioner which they uses on dash board & leather seats. 2 in 1... Think it cost $40.... Pjct3 Neutral Newbie December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 (edited) Hi Galactus.. Mine is a Silver too. By applying Glare polish, it'll protect the new paintwork for harsh elements. However it's not 100% full proof but it's easier to wash it off.... eg: bird sxxt etc... Sorry, I do not a photo of my ride to share. Autocraze Neutral Newbie December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 Hi Hammy, "As the area that I drove to travel to work (Tuas), I noticed that there are swirl marks, those straight type not circular, starts to appear almost everywhere..which I believe are caused by the road condition or rain" on the above, swirl marks are usually caused by ourselves... on road condition (which I interpret as sands & tiny particles while u're travelling), they will not create straight marks... most likely u'll get chip paints... as for rain, think it washes away the 'thin' coat of wax which was applied by ur car dealer, tats why after one wash by urself, all the swirl marks become visible.... "I just wash my ride once only with magauir blue wash that produce lot of stubs one" do wash ur ride (wkly basis) with mild shampoo.. putting too much will get a 'squirky' clean paintwork... yes and I mean 'squirky' (friction sound) coz. the shampoo suds will strip wax if u put too much of it... 'Glare' is a sealant which helps to protect ur paintwork... and also, never use those silicon wiper blade on painted surface... once u hear friction sound, tat means u have just inflicted swirl marks onto ur paintwork... it is good for glasses though... rule of thumb, do not use too much force against ur paintwork...be it washing, drying, waxing or buffing... Hope above help!!
Autocraze Neutral Newbie December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 But I clean the wiper for every stroke that I do. Maybe I should bo chap liao . Thanks anyway. I tried the autoglym silicon blade before (and it ain't cheap)... ..
Steelblue Neutral Newbie December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 I've got the autoglym hydra blade too, I cleaned after every swipe too....but there're couple of faint long lines on the car....the only culprit is the blade...use it at your own risk. I retired the blade to windows duty only

Osiris 1st Gear January 5, 2005 Share January 5, 2005 what's the shine % b4 and after treatment?
Papercup Neutral Newbie January 5, 2005 Share January 5, 2005 Mine is 85% before treatment. After treatment is 90.3%. The best thing is dirt come off damm easily after the treatment. Just need a light wipe and dirt such as bird sxxt and rain spots come off quickly.

Papercup Neutral Newbie January 5, 2005 Share January 5, 2005 (edited) U already book a slot with them right? If not.... That time, I send in the car at around 12noon and by 5:30pm it is done. So it should be about 5 1/2 hrs. Why not go to iCare at AMK Autopoint? Hee hee hee... there is a pretty "Mei Mei" down there Edited January 5, 2005 by Papercup
Osiris 1st Gear January 5, 2005 Share January 5, 2005 mine was 94 to 96% after treatment. Yah, have to agree with you dirt, tree sap, bird s-hit etc clean off easier. usually i just pour some water on it and let it lubricate before rubbing off for stobborn stains the only bad point about glare is that my silver car don't look as 'mirrored' as your black car. PS. don't let water spots set for tooo long. Glare disclaimers says he does not 'prevent' waterspots ↡ Advertisement
