Spas Neutral Newbie November 23, 2005 Share November 23, 2005 Hi Guys, I'm thinking of sending the family car for Glare. And from their website it seems it'll set me back almost 600 bucks. Just wondering how the package is like cos the info on their website isn't extremely exhaustive. So i get a clean wash and interior vacuuming and finally a Polishing with a year's warranty? Or can someone who has "glared" their ride correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks in advance!
Mzrmazda3 6th Gear November 23, 2005 Share November 23, 2005 (edited) Bro, for the first initial Glare process, they will clay bar, wash with Glare shampoo and apply the Glare polish using their buffer It is said that through the high temperature generated when the buffer is applying the Glare polish on your ride, the Glare polish will be bond onto your paintwork They will do a thorough interior cleaning too for your first visit First initial treatment will take up about 3-4 hrs. Subsequent half year inspection is jus claybar, wash with Glare shampoo and apply the Glare polish by hand which will take up at most an hour I'm on Glare for almost a year liao but now using Meguiar's product to top it up Edited November 23, 2005 by Mzrmazda3
Hyun Neutral Newbie January 10, 2006 Share January 10, 2006 Quote Between Zaino and Glare, I choose Zaino anytime. I have seen black cars with Glare and Zaino and IMHO after Zaino black looks much more intense in shade and shine! hi, i have a black car and am thinking of doing the first step - sealant, though it's been 6 months since i got the car. i read that zaino has poorish protection ability. i think i'd prefer something that protects as well. does it mean i should go for glare first, then subsequently switch to zaino (does switching means stripping of original glare?) or ...? thanks! Hyun Neutral Newbie January 13, 2006 Share January 13, 2006 sorry, to add to this, zymol and zaino are not the same thing right .. this zaino sounds very well-recommended here, but protection is said to be poor, so it's not suitable to be used as 1st time on new car? should i use another brand first, then next time use zaino? thanks! Steelblue Neutral Newbie January 13, 2006 Share January 13, 2006 Go give zaino z2 pro a try, the reports on not so good protection I read are from the old z2...not sure if the new Z2pro is better..I'll give it a go sometime this year tho
Dwoon 1st Gear January 13, 2006 Share January 13, 2006 You can alternatively, import your own bottle of Glare and DIY...... Can tell you it is very tedious work to do but hey... if you wanna save the $500 or so. I now use the left overs as a scratch & stain remover. Hyun Neutral Newbie January 13, 2006 Share January 13, 2006 everytime u send for grooming for new sealant, they wipe off the old one right? so doesn't matter what was the "base coat", it's going to be gone anyway? from what i gather in the forum, Zaino and Autoglym are 2 of the most well-regarded products. less mention of Klassesg but also sounds quite well-regarding. interesting thing is, the Klassemobile people charge significantly less than grooming shops - $50 for small car instead of the $90+ at groom shops (exterior only). anyone got thoughts about klassemobile? thanks! Danieltan07 Neutral Newbie January 13, 2006 Share January 13, 2006 klassemoblie. i have used them once. when i got my new car, got them to klasse for me. i must said they are good. i stand beside and learn how they did it. thereafter i diy
Hyun Neutral Newbie January 14, 2006 Share January 14, 2006 (edited) like that next time they ensure customers wear blindfold liao. but seriously, what i gather is like this: zaino good gloss, poor protection (but maybe z2pro better) autoglym ok gloss, ok protection glare so-so gloss, ok (or good?) protection (but groomworks denied they do glare anymore, strange) klasse i donno. and for black car, zaino gives the best look, but which other product runs a close second, i don't know ... did i make any mistake? Danieltan07 Neutral Newbie January 14, 2006 Share January 14, 2006 do a search in MCF you will find lots of information about klasse in fact there are some comparison about various pdts. i believe that klasse came out as no. 1. i read it somewhere in mcf
Hyun Neutral Newbie January 15, 2006 Share January 15, 2006 wow impressive, sorry i didn't read that thread. ur post got me interested. i was quite prepared to go for zaino already (mine's a black car) but i was concerned about the protection problem with zaino. looks like i'll be giving the klassesg people a visit. their price sounds really tempting as well, $50 for klassemobile to come to your house. but would u say these mobile guys dun have the full set of equipment, or give the full service u'd expect from a detailing shop? thanks!
