Hi

I've seen the NEW cefiro at TC, it not in the showroom but behind.

The New Cefiro chould come in 2L ,2.4L and 3L. Sad to say...for 2litre it'll NOT come with V6 bcoz the car is too heavy so they replaced it with something else(I forgot).

I have the actual photos for the Singapore version...nice car. [sunny]

aniwae itz good dat 2.0L doesnt comes in V6...it just doesnt fit..onli thing dat is good is the smooth running..but V6 in a 2.0L which is considered a small capacity means lower power and higher fuel consumption....

Hi, actually I saw the car at TC too and the engine size are 2, 2.4 and 3.5 litres.

The car is truly keyless as in entry by sensor card, meaning when you have the card with you and when you are 80 cm from the car, you can press a button on the handle and open the car. When you walk away from the car, after 80 cm, the car locks.

Ingnition is by turning a dial where we normally put the key to start, so no keys as well.

Even before Nissan's latest Cefiro hits the road, nearly 300 have been pre-booked.

These orders are by local drivers who have not even seen the car.

And they were placed despite the recent recall of older Nissans because of faulty engine sensors.

The secret, says the Japanese car maker, is not in radically reshaping the Cefiro's external appearance, but making the interior more stylish.

The first thing you'll notice about the interior of the fourth generation Nissan Cefiro is the dashboard.

It has very clean lines and every button and every switch is well placed within reach where they need to be.

"There is a very big global trend of lifestyle change and customers tend to go for modern luxury, which provides relaxed and comfortable space. We're putting in more tasteful things in the cabin space. We believe the Asian customers are more sensitive to the trends," said Takashi Nakajima, Nissan Motor's product chief designer.

And it looks like local motorists are paying more attention to interior design.

"Based on past records, we're selling 200 a month. Based on that, we are confident we can exceed that target and in fact based on the pre-sale response so far, we've actually exceeded the target. We're confident it can reach as high as 300 units a month," said Tan Chong Motor's Ron Lim.

But it will be a few weeks before enthusiasts can check out the new Cefiro.

It will only hit showrooms in early December. - CNA

Helloooo? It's called ergonomics, and many other cars from Bee-Ems to Volvos to Fords have been doing it for yonks, so why no writeup on them? A blatant advertorial, or a suck-up article. Either way, [shakehead][shakehead][shakehead]

Nissan... Renault... looks like their technologies are nicely converging. Can't wait for launch control on a March, taken directly from their (Renault's, but Nissan-developed) F1 car system [thumbsup]
