Hi guys

Need help on 3 items. I am using the Sony MD-CD set with CD changer and a set of tweeters and original speakers.

1-- How do I stop the sound that goes ti-to-ti-to after I switch off the engine? Seems like all Sony has it.

2-- How do I stop a hissing sound from the speakers? happened after I changed the orginal Alpine set to a Sony set. Could it be the wiring done wrong? Seems ok to me. Sound test was ok.

3-- The set I am using has 2 colors but I forgot how to change them. How do I do that? I lost the menu [blush]

Schroder,

not sure if u got the ti-to-ti-to fixed.

My experience with 2 set of sony also like that. If u read the manual, its a kinda of warning beep by design. In order to eliminate it, u will need to de-activate it by hard wiring. Read ur manual again and it should say something about removing some jumper thingy at the back of the unit... thats wat i remember. Hope it be some help.

hi

Do not install noise filter, it is only a quick way out of the problem, the system sound will degrade.

Should get the installer to trouble shoot and solve the problem. A properly installed audio should not have this problem.

Check out the ICE forum, there are lots of discussion on this topic

Cheers

Hissing sound could be the he following:

1. +ve cable to close to the speaker

2. the box that connects to the speaker needs to move away from the speaker

HU s definetly ok.

This hissing sound once almost drive me crazy,, until I move the box but it came back.(cos the box dropped behind my dashboard and i could not bother). Until I did grounding, it all gone away.

I'm having a different kind of noise coming from both rear & front speaker after I installed the E-Ram [dizzy] . Went to my audio guy, trouble shoot & finally replaced the AMP for the rear speaker (the AMP was about 5 years old) [thumbsup] . However, the front still have very soft 'arching' sound whenever the E-Ram is engaged [furious] . Haven't finished my grounding job yet, will most likely do it tomorrow & see whether the 'arching' sound will disappear [thumbsup]
