Need pricing advise

dear all,

 

very tired, finally got home after getting my ICE fixed up.

anyway i've just a modest set up, 'cos i just only have a 2-ch amp, two 8" speakers as sub woofer and brand new Boss speaker and tweeter bought from the shop.

 

now the help is needed from you experts. the 2 ch amp is get from my collleague as it's a spare to him, the brand is californa dunno what model le and also the 8" speakers is also from him. now i suppose i'll be buying from him but he yet to quote me a price, to prevent being by him...can you guys roughly give me the market price and the should-be second hand price.

wat are the brands of the 2 8"subs.. any box to go with it?

didn't manage to catch the brand of the 8" sub, but will try to peep under the black wire mesh. there's no boxes..it's used speakers

oh den its kinda hard to quote.. but for a normal brand low range amp.. u can get it for 100 to 180 plus... tatz first hand.. so assuming maybe second hand u can get below 100 since the brand is not those popular ones... for the speakers, if it sounds good to u. den its okie loh..but a pair of new boss speakers made in taiwan i think is 150 or lower...audiobahn and stuff also can get it at tat price.. so u got to see.. maybe if no brand den get him to sell as low as he can... definetely lower den 100 unless the brand is there.. also muz noe how long he have been using the speakers... juz my humour opinion

I was quoted $495 for a set of Focal 6.5inch 165A1 component speaker with tweeters and crossover. I never buy bcos not available for demo. Anyone heard this speaker before? How is it? Is it worth this price?

 

Another one is Helix highest range competition series component speaker. The cross over is big and transparent one. Ard $1300. But never hear also. Only see it in magazine and its the top range. But magazine never show price. Any feedback on price or quality of this pair?
