Whistling Noise

Need some advice urgently.

My car develop a whistling noise when I accelerate while driving.

When the car is idling, this noise is not there.

 

I have check the engine belts and put lubricant but

still the whistling noise.

 

Any idea what could be the problem and how to fix it???

if its not wind noise, might wanna check your air intake setup...

came up after 3 years.

What do you mean the air intake set up? what proble do you suspect

there?

if its not wind noise from car doors, undercarriage, etc... then i suspect its the air filter setup. see if there is anything loose/leaky there.. maybe your air filter.. cos during (hard) accleration, the air drawn by the engine can be very powerful sucking air creating the whistle...

 

tat's purely based on "whistling" noise deduction only thou..

Is it a 'wheeee' sound? Could it be transmission whine?

How old is your car?? Check the speakers too. My dad's car used to have that sound transmitting out from the speakers...
