Is there a list of "standard" tools for the car? I don't mean to just change tires, but for everything, from working under the bonnect, to doing mods.

 

Car in question is Mitsubishi Galant.

Different car brand/model got different size tool, but for the spinner & oil filter tool should a must to have. DIY changing oil! [:p]

 

But TB garage got full set (full size [:p] ) of tools, we can try to make use of our car Right TB [:p]

Hi! there, Ilmw,

 

I keep a set of tools in 2 kits, box & bag.

 

1 set of combination spanners, cheap ones 6mm-24mm.

1 set of Elora comb. spanners, not cheap ones 10mm,12mm,13mm,14mm,17mm.

 

1 set of 1/4" socket wrench, cheap ones, 1.5mm-14mm

1 set of 3/8" socket wrench, Elora, not cheap same as comb. spanner sizes, ratchet, slide bar, 2 sizes extension.

1 set of 1/4" socket wrench, Elora, not cheap ratchet, 2 sizes extension.

 

Phillips & Flat screwdrivers

Chisel

Pliers

Allen key set by Elora

Test probe for wiring

Multimeter

Tyre Pressure gauge

Raincoat

Car & w/shop manual

Car parts CD

Fuses

Cable ties

3M tape

Spare bulbs, bolts, work light taken from side indicators, searchlight, fanbelts, mini air compressor,

 

Jumper cables, long enough to jump-start a dumptruck.

Breakdown triangle, floor blinkers from Hyundai cars.

Various oils & lubricants

 

And God knows what else.

Dont you have the tools in your car?? Not forgetting the pump, gauges etc [laugh][laugh]
