Hi Guys

 

Especially those who go MY pretty often.

 

Just received a call from a friend, his car was search at Custom by MY customs officer.

 

Found walkie talkies.........he was fined RM1000.thumbsdown.gifthumbsdown.gifthumbsdown.gif

The logic is that any transmitting device has to be certified by the radio / telco regulator in that country, so that you use the correct spectrum and don't interfere with other signals there. Even walkies in SG have to be certified by our telco regulator, and you may even have to be restricted to a certain channel. Just like those cordless phones brought in from the US, are a big no-no in SG cos they use the same freq as our mobile phones over here.
