Sins Neutral Newbie October 6, 2003 Share October 6, 2003 My understanding is that it shouldn't matter because the low frequency of the bass is not directional. This is true for home theater systems and it should apply to cars as well though I could be wrong.

Ace_t Neutral Newbie October 7, 2003 Share October 7, 2003 U could try placing the woofer cone facing down on the floor of yr van. But leave a small gap of at least 2 inches. I find that such placement can improve on the tightness and accuracy of the bass. hope it helps...
Waipor Neutral Newbie October 7, 2003 Share October 7, 2003 if i remember correctly, you are driving a toyota van. it is very very difficult to find a good location as the sound will echo through the rear of the van thus creating less than ideal bass. rather than try to play with the positioning of the subs, perhaps you should try to place some sound proofing material around the rear panels, i'm sure that will help quite a bit. long time no see, what have you done to your sound system, come to meet up let us listen, may be able to offer better advice.
