R12 contains chlorine content and 134A contains fluorine content. Since the discouragement of using CFC in Aug 1993. R12 is no longer used in most automotive industry. However, there are still small car makers who are still using the older system as it is cheaper. R12 system is better against wear and tear which in turn gives more lubrication compared to 134A which is more excellent for rust prevention, leakage prevention.

The above R12 AC system compressor treatments are available from http://www.nutec-japan.com/index.htm and should cost no more than S$45. Anyone game to try? Works like the Buddy Club Race Comp Treatment as well but only difference is that it is meant for the R12 system which utilises chlorine content which is not as environmental friendly as the 134A system which is using flourine.

Can you kindly point out to me where exactly did I mention that the 2 types of AC systems are similar? I might be showing a 134A picture but that's bcos NUTEC does not have a samplepic of the R12. Please note:
