Juz to enquire , for my airwave , the aircon sometimes not cold out of the sudden , sometimes very cold . Wats wro ? Coil or compressor spoil ?

Best way is to go a reputable workshop to check, like Markcool @ woodlands. Because aircon issues can be due to a few causes. Common problems are usually spoilt compressor($500-800), leaked cooling coil($400-600) or faulty valve.. Changing coil might be an intensive job, some cars required mechanics to disassemble the whole dashboard which will take a couple of days.

I had my car aircon repaired by Tomika Aircon [bt Merah Alexandra Village] about 1 yr ago. The discharge hose was found to be leaking, and replaced with a new one. IIRC about S$200/ +-

*fortunately, did not require major replacement like cooling coil or compressor.

Try calling their foreman Mr Ah Soon to enquire.

My 5 year old teana blowing warm air yesterday when driving, no cold air at all.

Went to Kim's aircon today, the boss did a 5 mins check under my car and advice me probably only need to change magnetic coil - the compressor should be ok.

left my car there for 3 hours, changed the magnet coil, aircon cold as before.

even top up aircon gas and changed my filter.

reasonable price at $2xx, IMO good honest boss, great service.

Is 'Kim's' the name of the car aircon workshop? I couldn't find it .......Appreciate more info, thanks.

My car aircon gives off this musty, moldy smell that's getting stronger over a few months & I have to increase fan speed to reduce the smell.

Hi guys, sorry noob here but I wanted to ask how to find out if the aircon is leaking.

My car is leaking what seems like water (it's clear, no colour, touched it and sniffed it and it seems like it is just water) from under the passenger side of the car. It's leaking somewhere on the left, but not right at the left side (not very near the left wheel), more like it's nearer to the middle.

I didn't notice this leak at first, then last night went down to start the car for a while and noticed that there was a leak under my car. I didn't drive the car out, only started the engine with a/c on and all but the leak was pretty consistent - the car was on for half an hour and there was a puddle already under the car. Since the leak is clear water with no colour and no smell, I'm pretty sure it's water. Went home to google and someone said it's probably just the a/c leaking. Is that the case?

This morning drove the car to work, then checked under the car, but seems like no leak, so I'm not sure what the problem is?

If it is the a/c, is it a huge problem and does it need to be fixed? I'm asking this because my car has only 1 year COE left then it will be scrapped, so if there is no need or there is a cheaper fix, then I'll just leave it be.

Appreciate your help in advance, thanks guys!

It's condensate. Nothing to worry about. Look in the engine bay. There should be a tube that ends above where the 'puddle' is.
