Lester Neutral Newbie September 25, 2003 Share September 25, 2003 Besides gettting sandblasted, I got an overspray from the ships when painting was going on. So those on the glass panels couldn't be removed. ↡ Advertisement
Kelvgoh 1st Gear September 25, 2003 Share September 25, 2003 Hi Astralee, My reservist camp mate also kenna "sandblasted" while on reservist at Tg Gul Camp. He sent it to professional polishing service to remove it. Cost him $1,000+++ I think. Sorry to hear you kenna on your ride man. I know the desperate feeling. Seaweed 1st Gear September 25, 2003 Share September 25, 2003 orh I see...then I think bo bian...got to get the professional to rub off a layer of your paint liao lor...but if you got a buffing machine then can try removing it on your own lor...since it more powerful using equipment as compare to hand lor... Lester Neutral Newbie September 25, 2003 Share September 25, 2003 Wrong! Using a Orbital buffer will actually cause more damage if not used properly. In this case, it is advisable to do it by hand.

Kelvgoh 1st Gear September 26, 2003 Share September 26, 2003 Problem was that we were out for 3 days exercise & when got back, the whole car look like someone resprayed his vehicle . Even the glass was nearly totally a write off. Somemore it was rainy season. Ah well, he complained & wanted to ask MINDEF to pay ! Cheers
Civic_vti Neutral Newbie September 27, 2003 Share September 27, 2003 I also reservist at Tuas Naval Base and got a dump of sand blasting on my old ride. I used a new sharp penkife blade to scrap the black stuff off the glass. Then I used a phone card to scarp off the stuff off the paint job section by section. After that, polish and wax the whole car. It was a long process about 5 days worth of work in total. Not totally removed but better. Hope that helps.
