Zrun Neutral Newbie September 12, 2003 Share September 12, 2003 (edited) 1st, check if it is a real tein coil overs. From what I know, tein coil overs costs around $1600 SGD and above. At $1050 installed, I'll ask you to buy one and ship it to me.. :) Eg. this quote is in US dollars. http://www.autocarparts.com/part/877/7 If you have the duit, u cannot go wrong with tein coil overs. dampening and height to your liking. Super7 Turbocharged September 13, 2003 Author Share September 13, 2003 the shop told me this one doesnt come with damper adjustments, only height adjustments..... the one that has both is not available locally yet and will cost about $1600+- will it is (ie same price as you mentioned)...... my wifey keeps saying stock sus are too hard, and i dun wanna end up with something even harder with the Tien..... I will try to try out fren's airtrek installed with the Tiens.... thanks (maybe i should wait for the 'full-adjustment' version....)
Ghostrider 3rd Gear September 13, 2003 Share September 13, 2003 Workshop in AMK autopoint ? It depend on which model is the suspension. For HA model...good for tracking but for road use...a tad hard. I am ok with it but my wife complain cos got once she puked during a trip....motion sickness. If its the NA...not too bad. I will not call it harsh...just controlled damping. Its firm. Handling will be improved as its not as bouncy as stock. Better CG as your car will be lowered. So it depends on how your butt can take it....I used the HA for 9mths....I gave up cos wife constant nagging is worst !!

Modeldriver Neutral Newbie September 13, 2003 Share September 13, 2003 My fren and I both have Tein wagons. Wagon ranges can only adjust height (but it's a pain to adjust), while there are those that are height and dampening adjustable - but usually for cars only (e.g. Civics, WRX, DC5 etc). The results - harder than stock for both of us, certainly better handling esp. cornering at speed. However, not hard like racing car or 3-tonner. Overally good balance IMHO. Turtlekar 2nd Gear September 13, 2003 Share September 13, 2003 Uncle Foo, I think u are saying Tein NA lah...the coil spring with absorber type....only height adjustable....not really a coil over type....for this type, it's not really HARD lah, but definitely harder than stock suspension one.....u wanna try on my ride.... can do extreme hard corners.....with ease on my reliable AVS tyres

Turtlekar 2nd Gear September 13, 2003 Share September 13, 2003 bro, tein does have for your ride, but will have to modify your chassis abit to fit in as City is not very user friendly for Jpn car cos it's made in Thailand....

Turtlekar 2nd Gear September 13, 2003 Share September 13, 2003 it will cost you a bomb...as it has a control damping unit inside your car to do setting for your car!!!
Vtim 3rd Gear September 13, 2003 Share September 13, 2003 (edited) uncle, in my opinion, it'll be harder than your stock Edited September 13, 2003 by Vtim
Phochem Neutral Newbie September 13, 2003 Share September 13, 2003 hehe... juz checked. It cost around 2.2k for the Type FLEX dampers alone and $600 for the EDFC w/o installation.
Turtlekar 2nd Gear September 13, 2003 Share September 13, 2003 for that amount, it will be abit too much for street cars right.....unless u earning extra income by utilising it....
