Tanlc Neutral Newbie February 21, 2004 Share February 21, 2004 Oh I see!. So what color did you get? Just curious - if you got your COE in DEC and your car comes in MAR, does that mean that you lost 4 months of the COE? Or the COE starts when you get the car registered? ↡ Advertisement
Vivioman Neutral Newbie February 21, 2004 Share February 21, 2004 Mine is graphite pearl....would have loved a black City, but in SG, no black, so that was the darkest colour available. COE not sure leh, maybe some of the other bros can advise...or can ask your SE....kekeke
Tanlc Neutral Newbie February 23, 2004 Share February 23, 2004 Huh? How can it be that the darkest colour is graphite pearl? So limited in DEC meh?
Vivioman Neutral Newbie February 23, 2004 Share February 23, 2004 Yah lor, we wanted black, so no choice, graphite pearl is closest since it's gun metal grey type of colour
Toyo 1st Gear February 24, 2004 Share February 24, 2004 Hi, How do u find yr ride?
Vivioman Neutral Newbie February 24, 2004 Share February 24, 2004 I just love it man....my first auto car...now being caught in jams no worries already!...keke The boot is huge though...the other day when I changed wheels, managed to fit all 4 of my stock 14 inch wheels with tyres into the boot, with space to spare for at least one golf bag!... It's not a performance car, but to get around town and on the short highways we have here, it's a blast to drive. Stock suspension is quite stiff already, but that's fine by me! Toyo 1st Gear February 24, 2004 Share February 24, 2004 Good to hear that. I'm getting one too and it's CVT also. Do u thk it's adviseable to change to 15" rim?
Vivioman Neutral Newbie February 24, 2004 Share February 24, 2004 Great! When you getting your car? I would change to larger rims as it adds stability to your car. Is your car coming with steel wheels and plastic covers? if so, consider upgrading, it's better, many can vouch for that...you can consider OZ Superleggeras, which are quite popular and are quite reasonable if you purchase them from pxx xxxg Tyre (Justin). However, if you want 14 inch alloy wheels, I have the 7 spoke Honda ones that came with my City for sale...kekeke
Toyo 1st Gear February 24, 2004 Share February 24, 2004 June. Yup, mine will come with the steel wheel, plastic cover and the skinny tyre. I would probably transfer my old 15" OZ rim over.
No_regret Clutched March 7, 2004 Share March 7, 2004 Just book a city. But delivery date is very long.
Toyo 1st Gear March 7, 2004 Share March 7, 2004 That's right. U need to have very good patience in order to book the City. At the end of the day, i thk it is worth the wait. What is the model u book? I-DSi or VTEC? Manual or auto? When can u collect your car?
No_regret Clutched March 7, 2004 Share March 7, 2004 i-DSI auto. The vtec is $4k more leh. But i am still a bit unsure how the gear stuffs work. The D is using CVT but the 7-speed is using typical type of gear box with 7 gears?
Toyo 1st Gear March 7, 2004 Share March 7, 2004 I'm also i-DSI auto. It's using CVT so for normal driving, we can just switch to D. I have not figure out with the 7 speed mode. But i thk it is activated at the right side of the steering wheel. Shld be the same gearbox but instead of changing gears automatically, we do it ourself. VTEC is 4k more but with 110bhp, ABS and airbag, shld be quite worth also. But for my case, FC is more important than power.
No_regret Clutched March 7, 2004 Share March 7, 2004 The 7-speed will also change gear by itself if u nv use the "+" "-" on the steering wheel. That makes me wonder how it work between cvt and this.
Toyo 1st Gear March 8, 2004 Share March 8, 2004 My guess is the CVT works on its own when left in D or S and it only had 4 speed. The 7-speed mode is an override whereby u shift the gears manually. looks like we have to try to figure out ourself after we collected our ride . No_regret Clutched March 8, 2004 Share March 8, 2004 Har, u also havent collect ur ride? When is the collection date? I have post a reply to the other thread where u ask about the CVT, check it out.
Toyo 1st Gear March 8, 2004 Share March 8, 2004 Not too sure about the exact collection date but was told in late June. I saw your reply, thanks. Actually i did'nt know city had 7 speed mode when i book it as i did not test drive it.
