Wrxblue 1st Gear September 28, 2003 Share September 28, 2003 actually the tyres is just another spring on your car(air spring) ....so in theory...it can be assumed to be a spring and hence all the 'why' and 'how' works on similar principle as your suspension's spring... Autocraze Neutral Newbie September 28, 2003 Share September 28, 2003 The shop probably gave U a rough figure, check along your front door's edge or fuel filler door, should have a sticker showing the recommended tire pressures. for my case, I feel the sticker's recommended pressure is abit on the lower side... me driving a SUV & the recommended pressure is 198kpa (front) & 175kpa (back) ????..... consumes too much petrol..... Renegade Neutral Newbie September 29, 2003 Share September 29, 2003 Think it's also related to the loading your car undergoes during its use. I'd assume most newer cars coming with recommended pressure ranges, for their stock tyres.

Autocraze Neutral Newbie September 29, 2003 Share September 29, 2003 I think it all depend alot on the driving style, like for me, high pressure too unsafe, hard to control. I try to strike a balance between comfort & petrol consumption, tats why I pump 220kpa-front & 200kpa-rear.... which is abt. 32psi & 29psi respectively.... ↡ Advertisement
