Get the one with the rubber tube. It's much easier to use. I'm using Blue Point from Snap-On.

how much does yours cost?

My manual recommends 2.4Bar for the front and 2.3Bar for the back (but these figures are for 14" tyres) I have upgraded my tyres to 15" (195/55), do I stick to the same pressure recommendation as the 14"?

IMO u can use the recommended pressure even though you have change the tyre size. Using a lower profile tyre means there is less flexing of the tyre. The handling and cornering is improved but the ride is a little harsh and bumpy at times.

If you find the pressure low and don't mind that bumpy ride you can raise 1 to 1.5 bars up. The manufacturer recommend the pressure at a compromise of ride and handling. Better handling increase the pressure, and better or more comfortable ride the reverse apply.

Do note also if U're carrying more load or going high speeds >160kmh, U should consider adding 0.2-0.3bar more pressure into all four tires from the recommended one.

I just retained my preferred pressure setting after upgrading from 205/50R16 to 215/45R17 and it has been just fine so far.

Increase shld be 0.1 to 0.2 bar. (1.5 to 3 psi)

Slip of the mind.

You mean it's cheap? I thought the Stethogauge is cheap! Anyway the Blue Point gauge is very solidly built. Looks like it will last a lifetime! [;)] I have full confidence in it.

Sorry bro, wrong wavelength! [crazy]

OK, for the record,

Stethogauge (with extension tube) - $19 -----> cheap!

Blue Point - $40 -----> not so cheap!

Oh I see, Thanks for clarification.

IMO, Blue point price is reasonable leh, sold by snap on right and do they give lifetime warranty too for the gauge. For the quality $40 is OK.

Huggable was at Mustafa Centre, and the Stethogauge cost only S$12.90, so he quickly grabbed one.
