With 62Ah and 480A should be sufficient. However, with higher CCA of 510A should be better.

Battery lifespan varies, depends on the loading and usage type.

Generally, majority of user with standard electrical fixtures and accessories should last about 2 years +/- 6 months.

With increase loading like additional amps and other power hungry devices, then the lifespan may reduced.

Change my battery at CZ auto for $124 on 29-8-03.

prefer a hoppecke type but they brought in the varta brand this time.

no complain, cause no labour charge, and got 30% discount for the month of august.

Same rating as original and 1 year warranty by agent.

 

My original Battery life was 2yrs and 20 days and still cranking good.

can safely say 2 years life is average for battery.

Agreed that 2 years is a good guideline to replace the battery even though it still looks like it is in good condition as you will never know when you will not be able to start your engine, unless there is obvious symptoms like when accelerating only then the headlamps grow brighter etc....

 

I called up CA and they mentioned after 30% discount is $200+ using maintenance free battery..thats why opted for Servo for the replacement.

 

Anyway, enjoy the next 2 yrs of battery worry-free

Guess there maybe some comms mixup. The battery actually cost abt $180 (old price $170)w/o discount. After discount shd be ard $120+. Not possible $200+, that will be way too expensive.

 

Anyway, hope this battery will last at least 2 years.

Never drive Dennis or Philip's Passat..u will GIAN until drool n cant sleep.unless u got more powerful machine of coz..Dennis' passat is dynoed at 240BHP! luv philip's wz Porsche RS2 brakes...
