yes the people at the dealer w/shop, may not be always right.... and the repair cost is higher than outside.... but they cannot "siam" if there is a come back job....unlike the o/side w/shop that i once visit.... "no la......we only replace your battery only ma........now your "alternater" (don't know is this the right word?) not working got nothing to do with us what!!!!!"basket......went to ca with that "faulty battery" only to find out that there is nothing wrong with the batt and "alternater" but was just my low value cash card that is draining the battery...... [:p][:p][:p] and till today battery is ok......

That's is why we have this little forum, to save the good story and horror stories of workshops. I have a workshop that i frequent, if he dare say return job got to charge me, I make sure he will never be able to speak again. Point is, get a good and reliable workshop to go to.

hey 100% agree with you, but good help is hard to find nowadays, maybe is b'cos sam at ca who give me the peace at mind, (well till date i still think he "still" come clean to me on what is to be done to my car and not all the aga aga stuff) and so many unhappy visit i had at the outside w/shop.....well the w/shop u guys visit (servo.......) been there.....something i don't i wish to talk abt happen.....(heard that someone there was a ex-staff from them....) if anyone still can recall the battery and the "altenater" story....maybe is luck sometime you meet the right sometime u don't but the bottom line is i don't like people who bill me something wrongly and still tell me "gee i think.....and point to the sky and said to me "wind blown away" well what to do, maybe that's life

cheers

Okay Madam, I get your drift now.

As a matter of fact I have never set foot into Servo before. It is just recommended to me and I in turn post it up cause they are SUPPOSE to be good in VAG cars. A number of the staff there are from Auto GTI (ex VW distributors).

No one ever wanted to kenna problem with their cars, so when something strange happens, it is back to agent. BUT please do think about this, they are just mechanics as well, albiet have some training. When it comes to strange behaviour, they might never encounter this problem before and thus back to 'agar agar' again.

Not that I condemn agent workshop, but my feeling is only a few agent workshop is Can Make It, rest is also-ran. Wish you luck in your search for a good outside workshop, you can save a fair bit of money with the 3 cars you co-own [:p]
