Hi all,

Anybody has tips on getting rid of these pests and other bugs from the interior of the car? And anyway of preventing such recurrences?

Recently squashed 2 cockcroaches running past my front dash. Pretty shitty experience.

Pls share. Cheers

Have a friend who goes the au naturel way and uses pandan leaves. She claims that the leaves also double-up as a natural air-freshner, a practice agreed upon by several cabbies I've met. Cockroaches, apparently, don't take too well to the odour of pandan leaves.

Trouble is, so do some people..... [:p]

Wow ! Two posts suggesting the same thing - must be common practice in some circles..... [shocked]

Yes, that is the cheapest and most effective way.

Majority of the motorist will agree to this solution.

I totally agree that the use of pandan leaves is popular among many car owners...

Apart from the eau de pandane, it'll probably gives you a craving for pandan cakes when you are hungry. [laugh][laugh]

To prevent recurrences,

(1) make sure don't open your doors too long when you are doing your regular washing n waxing...

(2) keep the aircon vent 'closed' at all times so that the eggs or the young ones don't flourish in there...

(3) start checking for holes and crevices??!! [laugh]

Cheers

That someone must have experienced it when the temp in the car is high. It actually smells okay at cooler temps.
