Looks like you've been busy. Did you do the bandaging yourself? Got give classes or not? Might want to attend.o

So currently the system consists of the front Hotbits extractor and cat replacement? with a Novitec rear cat back ?

Any problem with the sound volume? THe Novitec would sound kinda loud as they were designed for the original front cat system.

Doing up my car in very slow deliberate stages as I'm still enjoying it's performance and handling after the suspension upgrade. Haven't done any thing to the exhaust yet.Upgradeed the braking to steel braided hose with Tutela Extreme fluid and the Roesch pads. Can brake later and also better feel. Squeals tho..

I've sold off my Novitec cat-back system as my wife complained it's too noisy! [:(] So now it's just the HotBits. Does sound more hollow but otherwise, not too noisy. And yeah, I did the bandaging myself. I'm sure you can do it well, if not better! [;)]

Guess we know who's the boss now..p [pirate]

So what are having at the rear..did you put the original muffler back?

The guy at speedworks mention that there may be more vibrations if the extractors and cat replacement is used with the original? Is that your experience too?

I intend to just replace the cat only with the Hot-Bits and see what happens. The Novitec cat back is just too expensive. Thanks for the info on the Hot-Bits. Was looking for a bolt on cat replacement. Gave me more choices and ,yes, it's much cheaper vs Supersprint..

Hi! there, Luckcent,

I hope you're not seriously compromising on safety. Yesterday, during the Alfa drive around, a friend in his GT Junior, didn't mention that he has brake problems, so he couldn't keep up at our speed. Finally, at Massa Ubi showroom, he'd to drive off by himself. It was only at the end that he mentioned about it.

Well, she casually mentioned that she could hear the presence of my babe before should SEE her! [:p]

Yup, original muffler for me now. No, did not feel more vibrations. Both the HotBits extractor and cat replacement are bolt-on parts. [:)]

Am very concerned about the brakes not being effective especially when left cold. Have to be extra careful when driving off during after office when going down the multi storey carpark.

Mike, where did you get the Hotbits extractor, is it 4-2-1 and by the way do they have it for the Renault Megane.

Got the HotBits from Speedworks, and yes, it's a 4-2-1 extractor. A 4-1-1 extractor is not really suitable for city driving as you really need to drag the engine hard to get it's power.

Dunno about the availability for a Megane, though. Why don't you call Mr Loo to find out?

How about the wraps, did you get from speedworks too.

Yeah, you can get the wraps from speedworks too. Mine, I got via a friend from a shop in Sg Kadut. Mine is an ordinary roll of fibreglass tape, actually for marine use. The one from Speedworks is specified for car use. Looks and feels better, but more expensive, of course! [;)]
