My impression on him is his acting on Top gun alongside Tom cruise as Iceman.

And the more recent one is Top gun maverick where he also plays the same role. In the role he also having throat cancer. He communicated with Maverick by typing instead of speaking.

Despite his illness back then, he wanted to make a last stand alongside TC in the sequel of one of Hollywood biggest movies...

Love that scene...then read about the story behind...i watched it again and again...both were so connected...not only as professionals but also as buddies...real best buddies...always there for one another...🙏😌
