no more stigma of having PHV sticker...

conversely it is a badge of honor to drive like a dick. instead of the BMW emblem in the case overseas. singapore is the PHV sticker

Tariff will hurt everyone if it truly plays out.

Will hurt our trading partners and therefore indirectly us.

Govt alredy hastily came out to manage people’s expectations.

Growth will slow, inflation will increase, job losses will be more prevalant.

Perhaps not so quickly as in next week.  But if it really pans out, confirm COE will drop.

Roughly takes about a month or two to feel the impact of the tariffs when other countries wack back with theirs. Maybe second half of the year will be a good gauge to see a drop 🤣

Yeah real effects will take a few months. But market moves on expectations.  If the Tariffs dont get renegotiated, confirm we will see more than usual job losses which cant be replaced.  Good luck for those who are on real loans to buy a car and for that matter a property.

Gone are the days of the COE “10-year cycle” trend. 200k +/- for software-detuned CAT A EVs.

More and more Conti cars with huge body sizes and small engines (3 cyl 1.5 turbos).

Short term effect - My US customers keep loading more POs and asking for delivery as fast as possible.

Long Term effect - Later they don't buy anymore if they are overstocked and I will die feeding my workers and waiting for POs. WORST, they move away to another country to buy from

Lots of things affecting. I am taking up a new 900 SQM space for expansion. Now I have to do lots of work to review this.

Many projects are going to stall due to this bloody tariffs thingy lah

As for COE, if it keeps going up, then good luck to those who cannot afford to buy cars that's all lah. The strong survive lor. Or I can say those that can stretch will buy lor

I drive my friend one.  With 2 persons on board,  still quite responsive up to 60km/h, for our city driving quite ok.

I remember the 1st version CRV, we have about 7 - 8 full grown teenagers managed to squeeze into 1 car (with 2-3 person in the boot), the car did not struggle at all.
I doubt the version we are getting now can do that.

Yup, thats the new reality which can really f**k things up.  An employee nation like Singapore wont feel it so soon.  by the time they feel it, their job is gone already.
