True, nowadays if drive those rental car really can quite stressful, due to many 'anyhow drive' drivers and 'blind' drivers driving on the road. Even you drive carefully but often they are the ones who buang onto your car.

Nowadays if you want to rent those car sharing cars, getgo is the most common around.

If don't want to rent from getgo and bluesg, there are not much other choices liao. Think there is another car sharing rental called Tribecar.

Yes I also saw that post in Reddit. $7500 for a damaged side mirror

  1. Repair Cost: $1430.93
  2. Loss of use @$120 per day for 3 day(s): $360
  3. 3rd Party Damage (Section 2) Excess: $5500
  4. Admin Fee: $300

Total Chargeable Amount: $7590.93

With $7500, I can bring my whole family to Japan, also cover the air ticket and hotel accodomation. 

Or take Grab for 1 whole year.

I definitely don't watch them haha.

One of the first car I drove after getting license was an i30. But I guess it's not considered that small.

I had my first blueSG rental during Covid period. Tried once and last time.

Couldn't figure out how to turn on aircon, I don't know why I just can't find the button. The drive was very smooth and car is responsive though.

Nowadays new car not so direct to turn on the car engine and aircon etc stuff, even might also don’t know how to engage the gear. Lol.

also got a much older Nissan Note model in Japan last year. Brakes were soft but overall, still way better than Kia Morning in terms of overall driving experience.

when my current COE ends mid 2026, i might consider a Swift esp if the price will drop some more. That or extend COE.
