So many things.

737 got no Ram Air Turbine.

737 FDR and CPR not hardwired to a battery.

Muan no EMAS

Muan got a concrete wall

If no Emas I think better to put a paddy field there. At least water and mud is a nice soft landing and the plane will dig into the mud and stop itself.

Questions on maintenance.

I think I know which airlines and destination for MIL's next trip!

The trip of a lifetime.

I am just glad the FDR was given to the NTSB.

Its possible the NTSB Go Team was in Korea to see the extraction of FDR from the plane.

Of course someone might say Yes but when the NTSB went back to the hotel to sleep,

they left the FDR at the airport and at night when everyone was sleeping

they sneaked into the airport and wiped out the last 4 minutes!

They wanted to cover up!

Now I am not sure anyone know what exactly happened in the last 4 minutes

and if they don't even know happened what is it they wanted to cover up?

Now one question people keep asking is since he was coming in to land

why did he not continue to land when he hit the bird or birds?

I can think of one very obvious answer.

He was trying to avoid the birds and the only way is the pilot had

swerve the plane to the right and left.

Now once the plane swerve here and there

the plane is no longer aligned to come in to land.

So if he is not lined up correctly he had no choice

but to go around to try and land again.

Now if Captain Philips came in for his water landing after losing his engines in a bird strike

and half way along the river he smashed into a NY ferry taking morning commuters to work

and there was a big fireball I am not sure he would be a hero and there would be a film about him.

Now if there was no wall the Jeju pilots could be heros and a film made about them.

Plane to Muan and it maybe a bigger hit than Train to Busan!

That Captain Philips film was a big hit!

:D

I saw the film 5 times!

The bird strike is the key causative factor.

what are the remedial actions?

that would earn many Rolexes….

Loss of power would explain

no flaps, no slats, no landing gear

and the pilots wanting to put the plane down

as soon as they can.

No time to go one round and land from the other side.

Both engines had bird strikes!

no flaps, no slats, no landing gear

and the pilots wanting to put the plane down

as soon as they can.

No time to go one round and land from the other side.

No proof the pilots made any mistakes.

Just like Sully was also criticised before being confirmed as a hero.

Can we get serious now?

sounds fishy may be some cover up by korean govt, just like their K Drama Vagabond ( ironically this drama involves plane crash as well)  implies, there is a lot of corruption and nepotism at the highest level of govt and spreads throughout their entire society frankly making it such a capitalistic dystopia. Could have been silenced to prevent him from spilling beans on the govt and other officials

Do you know what brand?

After the all reunion dinners and obligatory relative visits,

I have booked MIL for a nice fight to Korea

and I don't want her phone to go flat

so I will be packing a few power banks in her bags.

I just want to the brand with the biggest bang per buck.

Tom Hanks preparing his next movie liao....

Jet collide chopper.... at 8:00 mark

Allegedly 60plus in the jet. Plus the Blackhawk ... should be about 70pax.

Water is freezing...☹️

ATC guy probably has the biggest liability if both aircraft had clearance.

If only one aircraft has clearance....

Probably it's the Blackhawk doing a training flight gotten into the jet final approach path.
