[Official] Honda and Nissan To Merge

Lai lai, let guess what will be the new name after their merger. Honsan, Nissda, HN Motors, NH Motors, etc.

Japan’s Honda and Nissan to reportedly begin merger talks

• Nissan and Honda plan to enter into negotiations for a merger to better compete in the rapidly changing automotive industry, the Nikkei newspaper reported Tuesday.
• Honda and Nissan are considering operating under a holding company, and soon will sign a memorandum of understanding, according to the report.
• The  combined Nissan-Honda-Mitsubishi enterprise would equate to more than 8 million vehicle sales annually, according to Nikkei. That would place the company among the world’s largest automakers, but still below fellow Japanese automaker Toyota Motor, at 11.2 million in 2023, as well as German automaker Volkswagen, which last year reported sales of 9.2 million vehicles.

Honda will merge with Nissan

to make the 3rd biggest car company in the world.

But merger is always take the worse of one company

and merge it with the worse of the other company.

When Alfa Romeo and Nissan did a tie up they took the styling of the Italian

no I mean the Japanese and put the Italian engine inside.

And we all know how reliable Italian engines are!

So that's their strategy to stay alive against the Chinese EV army.

Fallen empire.

I cannot even imagine a Civic and a Sylphy being from the same company.

 

My theory is when you kill off your iconic sedans, your brand will eventually dissolve.

Actually, there is no need for Honda to form a merger.

Given their fan base, they can create a special niche. But the thing is...they keep producing cars with odd designs and lacking power. All in the name of being carbon neutral. They lost a great bunch of fanbase. Including me.
