Chey, you trying to find out the age of people here and their spending power, right? :D

Actually hard to have apple-to-apple comparison since we have @Throttle2 who spent hundreds on cigar a day vs @Stary who find cai png at hawker center too expensive...

For me if minus off my spending on car (which cost $2 - 3K a month), I can survive with $2 - 3K comfortably, beer inclusive.

Usual expenses would be like utility bills, food, groceries, cheap loot from Shopee and such. Depending on actual spending annual holiday may have been included.

Its all in basically

Thats why i say i am quite frugal.

and thats also why i say $2kpm cannot retire.

but note, i have zero debt, so zero mortgage , zero car payments although i have recently built landed house, 2 cars and a Harley

for other people, thats already  $10k mortgage for next 20yrs and $5k car and bike instalments monthly for the next 5 yrs  😬😬

Your kids probably don't need much tuition at these numbers!

I don't bother to keep track. Cos I'm frugal anyway.

Beyond car, holiday and enrichment expenses. I spend very little extra otherwise.

You also have lotsa buffer I feel and your frugality compounds into that non necessity of tracking

Who has kids studying overseas?  That easily cost $5-10k a month.

My 2 uni going kids alone cost me $4-5k a month and they are studying in Singapore. Lucky me. 😂

Not expecting any return really. I am lucky to be still able to give money to my parents every month but i doubt my kids will. It is an expense.
