haha i checked 2nd hand market, everyone selling about 40+k to 50+k.. so hopefully can get around that price..

but wanted to check with quotz.. but awaiting reply haha.

mileage about 65k i think. quite standard.. roughly 20k / year

as in maintenance etc.. usually cars >5 years have more issues as compared to cars <5 years..

but it's all come down to you at the end

my fren bought a civic 1.8A in 2008 at 74k... if he sell now.. probably can sell 78k...

is it worth it to buy?

of course this period is not a good time to buy cars due to skyrocketing coe prices..

it might be better later on, might get worse.. no one knows. it's a gamble lor.. especially inflation so high in sg

I scrapped my COE car 10 years ago, sold off many parts online, wheels, audio, bumper, bonnet, fenders, steering wheel, exhaust, doors, spoiler, headlamp. Damn i was bad. ha ha. Drove down to scrapyard limping and fenders/bonnet, headlamp tied with rope, praying no TP stop me for noisy and shaky car.

 

Now its time for my next car to scrap since its 10 years up. But this time since it is PARF car, i might find a dealer to buy in.

Going to scrap/sell to exporter in mid January. Coe expiry date is 18th Jan. So means i have to transfer at least on 17th (or up to 2-3 days earlier according to someone on hwz).

Any tips?

If you plan to drive your car to scrapyard to deregister the car, better to do it at least few days before the due date. 

You can call up the company to ask how much they going to pay for your car body. Then if ok just drive there and hand your car to them.

There are only 2 truly exporters here...many "car for export" dealers...some are even fly by night kind...most of them like toyota, lexus, merc, bmw and all luxury brands and models...the rests smelly metal price at best unless are of rare unique collectable models...😂
