That's how Tesla makes $$$

Tesla is in trouble.

Germans don't want to buy Teslas any more according to an online poll here: https://euroweeklynews.com/2025/03/15/germany-shuns-tesla-94-per-cent-of-buyers-say-no-thanks-to-elon-musks-evs/. Even if the online poll is out by 10%, the overall trend is not in Tesla's favour.

Highlight from the article:

Tesla sales plunge amid Germany’s booming EV market.

Despite Germany’s electric vehicle sector flourishing with a 27 per cent rise in overall EV sales in 2024, Tesla has been struggling mightily. Last year, Tesla’s sales in the country dropped by 41 per cent compared to 2023. And the situation has worsened – the first two months of 2025 saw a further 70 per cent decline in sales, even on top of the already dismal figures from the previous year.

The attached picture says much of what the Germans think of Elon at Giga Berlin factory.

Who said tariffs has no impact on Tesla sales? 😝

Such domino effect is NOT unforeseeable, unless some choose to turn a blind eye to the issue.

Tesla removed from Vancouver Auto Show

Tesla has been removed from the Vancouver Auto Show on the eve of the event, organizers announced Tuesday.

Elon Musk’s company will no longer be an exhibitor and all references to Tesla have been removed from the show’s website, a move that comes as the billionaire faces backlash for his alliance with President Donald Trump amid a trade war between Canada and the U.S.

“The Vancouver International Auto Show has removed Tesla as a participant in this week’s event, after the automaker was provided multiple opportunities to voluntarily withdraw,” said Eric Nicholl, the show’s executive director, in a statement.

“The Vancouver Auto Show’s primary concern is the safety of attendees, exhibitors, and staff. This decision will ensure all attendees can be solely focused on enjoying the many positive elements of the event.”

The annual convention starts Wednesday and runs through the weekend.

Musk has been a cheerleader for Trump’s threats to annex Canada, writing on his social media platform X that Canada is “not a real country.”

A petition to revoke Musk’s Canadian citizenship on the grounds that he has “engaged in activities that go against the national interest of Canada” and “attacked Canadian sovereignty” has amassed hundreds of thousands of signatures.

British Columbia recently removed Tesla products from a list of those eligible for provincial subsidies.

Last weekend, protests were staged at Tesla dealerships in B.C. and beyond.

Meanwhile, dealerships in the U.S. have been vandalized, with vehicles set on fire in some cases.

Musk took to his social media platform Tuesday to denounce the vandalism as “domestic terrorism” and to decry the “evil attacks” on his company.

In a now-deleted post he said, “My companies make great products that people love and I’ve never physically hurt anyone. So why the hate and violence against me? Because I am a deadly threat to the woke mind parasite and the humans it controls.”

CTV News has reached out to Tesla for comment. This story will be updated if a response is received.

Elon Musk: Tesla (TSLA) is ‘not unscathed’, tariff impact is ‘significant’

(Source: https://electrek.co/2025/03/27/elon-musk-tesla-tsla-is-not-unscathed-tariff-impact-is-significant/)

Elon Musk has confirmed that Tesla (TSLA) is not coming out unscathed from the newly announced automotive tariffs. He admits that the impact is “significant.”

Yesterday, the Trump administration released an update on its plans for tariffs in the auto industry.

Starting April 3rd, the US will impose 25% tariffs on all cars and light trucks assembled outside the US. The tariffs will also apply to all foreign auto parts, but the US government is extending the exemption to parts coming from Canada and Mexico under the USMCA free trade agreement until May 3rd.

Tesla shareholders believe this was great for Tesla since all vehicles it sells in the US are assembled in the US.

However, CEO Elon Musk had to throw some cold water on this idea and confirmed on X last night that the impact on Tesla will still be “significant”. He said:

Important to note that Tesla is NOT unscathed here. The tariff impact on Tesla is still significant.

The automaker often claims to make “the most American-made vehicles,” but it still gets a significant percentage of its parts from other countries.

Tesla gets some of its parts from China, which will now be more expensive, and steel and aluminum from Mexico and Canada were also subject to tariffs.

We also previously reported that Tesla gets more than 20% of its parts from Mexico for all vehicles produced in the US. An undisclosed percentage of parts also come from Canada.

Tesla also produces a lot of its manufacturing machinery in Canada.

No matter how Tesla fans, or more accurately, Tesla shareholders, are trying to frame this, it isn’t good for anyone, including Tesla.

It will increase the price of all vehicles in the US, making it harder for everyone to buy cars, including Teslas.

This has nothing to do with carbon credits that you mentioned previously

Go and read what I have written and what was your reply.

If I were you, I would stop humiliating myself in a pubic forum.
