They'll b lucky if they manage to recover fr sg car owners more than 1/3 fr these periods.....

Just to share my experience after some struggling to register 2nd VEP after 1st VEP from 2019 expired in July. 

- if u did not "renew" the current 2019 VEP, it will expire and show status as "de-registered" on the VEP/JPJ website

- Stage 1 - if expired, you now have to apply again like new driver and car which was I did. Although they have your info in the system, u need to submit the same docs like IC, COE (printed from LTA) and current valid insurance cover/cert. Approval process took a day and I received link to submit docs and make payment.  

- Stage 2 - I got stuck at vepams website like many others. reason was due to eWallet not linked even though I been using the TNG app with VEP auto reload and TNG cash card for years. The reason is due to ewallet being registered with passport in 2019.  The solution is to get hold of a Live Agent on the TNG app and he will ask you for a copy of ur IC and passport.  He managed to reset the ewallet so that I can continue with VEP application. Take note that some folks chose to delete their TNG ewallet account and re-apply again with IC - u dont need to do this and lose your RM inside the wallet. 

Stage 3 - now at last stage to pick up VEP from Danga Bay office sometime in Sep cos the dates in Aug all fully booked. so far the fee incurred for application is RM 41.86. 

Just paying it forward and hope this helps, esp if u were stuck at ewallet stage like I was.

I renewed also stuck 😁 sent an email to me asked me upload the document in VEPAMS, but no field to even click to upload anything (showing Renew Submitted in VEPAMS). Been like this for 2 months. Waiting for it to expire instead next week to see if can redo as new.

Once owner changes car or change plate. It is a write off.

IL6 highlighted the cloned car issue, I think it is not just unpaid traffic fines now.

Almost 2 weeks nia. Can continue to wait. Mine took 1 month. 

1 Jul - Apply online.

3 Jul - Rejected due to wrong ownership date submitted. Mine is a second-hand car. Amended and re-submitted immediately. 

28 Jul - Finally approved.

29 Jul - Paid and choose delivery at a cost of RM56.28.

As of today - Still showing "Pending Tag Processing" - almost 2 weeks since I paid. Even my Shopee purchase from China already recieved and using already. I always though Malaysia is nearer to Singapore compared to China.

Aiyah... always bring the old stuff... those cars already scrapped long long ago... what's the point of crying over split milk? They only have themselves to blame for not having thought of how to prevent it... I suppose better late than never...

Confirm cannot... cos mine also like that... expired while waiting for renewal... no link to upload anything or take any action... email them they say apply new one but quite obviously I can't...

bro - in vepams did u see a small orange box below ur car details that say "TAG"?  if u see that, click on it and u can enter another page to upload ur docs.

nope, there's no option to click anything, been like this for almost 2 months

Hmm...It somehow looks like you have not completed the process at vep site. Once completed, then you will be asked to go vepams site.

@Dafansu yours is similar to mine..you need to call them and sent them your IC and Log card again to de-register the current tag..then re-apply new tag...

Bro... we were sent the email link once we completed the VEP site formalities... if don't complete, won't get the email link to get into VEPAMS site cos the email link is unique one... without it you can't login...

Bro... my tag is shown in progress when I renewed on the VEP site... that's why it's very sian for both of us... waiting for 2 months but our applications are in limbo... whoever replied my initial email very cleverly suggested I apply for a new tag... but obviously I can't cos there is an application on-going... useless response from someone who obviously never looked into the background of my feedback. There was no reply subsequently to my reply or further emails...

I applied pre-Covid using Yahoo email. Yahoo acct terminated liao so emailed the VEP people to deregister so I can reapply using Hotmail or Gmail. Hope doesn't take too long

I called them today.  The waiting time was 20 minutes but I was determined to wait it out.

So I spoke to the person and got my documents confirmed.  I then received an email saying I can make payment

So i just made payment and in Sept I will go Malaysia to get the tag fixed.  Whew.  Such a mess

there's nothing to complete in VEP site, only shown as In Progress, both portals got nothing for me to click to upload documents also 😁
