I got trouble applying for vep for my current car also

Applied for my previous ride a few years ago, status was pending. 
 

my previous car plate was transferred to my new car. When I tried to apply, it says car number already in system. But the previous one was still pending. 
 

Emailed them 1-2weeks ago, no reply

Wah? You renew your car's COE is it? Otherwise that's a really expensive job...

I just got a reply from JPJ regarding my enquiry over the renewal status of my VEP... they tell me that my tag has been deregistered cos it has expired and am advised to apply for a new tag... what an absolutely useless reply... why allow the renewal process in the first place?

And now that my car's particulars are locked into this renewal which is in limbo, obviously I can't apply for a new tag... I'll reply and see what they say... crazy... heh heh... only in Malaysia... Uniquely Asia...

You mean all you did is click 'Renew' and wait?

On my account under the vep site, I immediately saw a new record requesting to add vehicle details as soon as I click Renew. So I did, and the process is exactly like a fresh application, just that some fields are already pre-filled based on your existing vehicle.

mine not expired, already clicked renew and no updates for 1 month, I'll just leave it there.

Mine same as yours in that I renewed before it expired... oh well... the vep.jpj website still shows my tag is in progress... nuts...

Yup that was my experience as well... after you fill up all the details that are different from your previous tag, it sends an email getting you to the collect and pay website... but that website is empty... just lists that my car has renewed for a tag but no possible action...

I think they can't decide what to do with renewals... basically they have no process and make it up along the way lar... heh heh... Malaysia Boleh lar...

so even if u click renew, still need to wait for it to expire then it will auto deregister like your case?

Then why they need to owner to submit documents for deregistration when it will deregistered when expired. 

Damn screwed as usual. We want to take their implementation seriously but look at their standard.

Today, 15-07-2024. Gotten the email that my VEP (Tag Application) was rejected due to below reason and ask me to do this:

"Please upload full LTA from One Motoring showing the complete detail of vehicle registration (VEP slip not acceptable). Thank you."

So, In One Motoring webby. What is the link to download the above-mentioned so tat I can resubmit my application?

Login using your SingPass, go to your vehicle hub and select enquire & print veh reg details.

What standard? Quite clearly never think through all possible scenarios and so just making it up on the fly... Uncle Loke needs to be replaced... heh heh...

Must be vintage car is it? Seriously those vintage car how to install VEP tag? The round headlights really small and kind of shaded by some bodywork lip over light lens... wonder if the reader can detect or not... wah ha ha...

@teomingern Got it! I have downloaded the correct Vehicle Registration Details in PDF and re-uploaded to VEP site and VEP successfully.
