@Virus Are you trying to register another vehicle with the same retained number plate? Then u should be attaching the LTA letter stating you are retaining this number plate and its to be tied with this vehicle's log card information

Transport Minister is Chinese, still need Permission from His Malay Boss..nevermind,the Slower the Better.

In my biased opinion

I feel they won’t try to do it before the June holidays since it will affect their income if less travelers come 🙏 fingers crossed 🤞

@Newmat yes i did follow that exact procedure, but i couldnt be bother too much as I've ripped off the RFID tag itself

I hope you sold the car for scrap or export, otherwise next owner who intends to register the VEP will have some trouble doing so since you are on record, still the owner of this VEP, notwithstanding having ripped off the RFID Tag

I visited their website to apply for a VEP, made the payment, and received the receipt.

It will take some time for them to mail the tag to my house. In the meantime, can I enter Malaysia with just the receipt, or will I face a penalty?

nope, there's hardly any enforcement now. If there is, they should have record in their system u have already applied, nothing to worry. Even those who have yet to apply will just get a warning with no penalty, more of advisory now.

The best part i love about their records and IT system is when they can give up to 80% discount of the summons :D

Let’s wait till end of 2025. VEP should fade into oblivion.
till the next jiak money scheme!

precisely, all should stop talking asking kaypohing about VEP

VEP2.0 business opportunity slowly but surely will come

probably have to re-register and get new sticker and what's not in the name of "new technology"

Turbocharged

They delivered the VEP tag to my house fast.

I googled the web and thought that it could be placed on either the windscreen or the headlamp.   Thinking that the windscreen could provide more protection from rain, I pasted it there; submitted the photo and waited for them to activate.

Then they replied me that my request for activation was rejected because the newer release tags could only be pasted on the headlamp.

So i have to pay 1 more time for them to send a new tag over.

And now, I could only drive into Malaysia without a VEP tag first, hope it is ok and they don't stop me from entering.

Haha you never read the instructions manual or the QR code youtube video that omes with the tag, it says headlights only.

Anyway, most people paste and verify and then shift it away...
