I managed to create a new submission and now pending tag verification.

Expiry of my 1st Gen Tag was today, the system auto shown as Deregistered when i relogin this morning. Prior to this, I've clicked renewed two months ago (they got send renewal email also), but system always show In Progress and no tab to upload any documents after done with the renewal. Today submitted a new application and currently shown as pending for verification in TCSens

did the malaysia authority side mentioned this? this was the old arrangement since the first batch of VEP

I rechecked the ST article...it's recent. I myself for sure won't go JB in the beginning of October. Just wait and see.

3 weeks have passed since self paste and submitted the photo proof. NOTHING, no sound no picture. Indeed Malaysia BOLEH~ 🤷🏻

Highly suspect by 1 Oct 2024 100% plus chop cannot Malaysia cannot finish with the VEP process and implement. If their backend server and GUI is nicely done, all can be seamlessly done online for paperwork uploading and complete it.

What a fantastic country, no wonder with all the natural resources, they are still behind other nations because they don’t know how to manage a country. Let alone a small VEP project also can fail big time and delay for years, even their navy vessels can be so high tech until become so “stealth” coz it’s nowhere to be seen, not even build when money is already gone to 💰

From the article above, it seems like the contract was awarded to TCSENS, and initially they only supplied the hardware, that is, the RFID tags... and all the paperwork was handled by JPJ... I never heard of TCSENS in relation to VEP RFID system since I applied mine in 2019... but when the current government took over, somehow TCSENS got involved in the paperwork as well... and now even in resolving issues for users... which begs the question, what's JPJ's role then?

@GohWeeKia correct....if u go in self collect they will try to install the windscreen version...they have a handheld RFID scanner/reader...to check if the windscreen one can be read...if cannot then they will issue you the headlamp version...to install on the left headlamp.

If you opted for postage. You will be given HEADLAMP version. if you install on the windscreen they will reject you outright, reason is because they can't verify the RFID tag works or not when it's installed behind the windscreen (tint/film).

@Dafansu once you click the renew on JPJ website, your existing RFID would have been deactivated. Did the VEP installation back in 2019 too. VEP/RFID expires every 5 years...just completed and activated another VEP which last for another 5 years.

Yes that is what happened to mine... but I can't apply for a new tag... it says my tag is under renewal...
