Note my screenshot below and note the scroll bar underneath the 'Renew' button. I checked my records also... but I realized that there's a mobile web page and a normal web page... my login credentials don't work for the mobile page - I copied the link posted earlier and tried to log in but it didn't work. When I searched for the normal website as I usually did in the past, I could log in... so users beware of the difference... Secondly, the interface actually doesn't show your tag's expiry date. Mine is still active and if you're viewing on the mobile in portrait mode, you have to scroll left on the window to see the 'Renew', 'Deactivate' & 'Tag'. Quite silly. When you tap 'Tag', you get the tag serial number and the expiry date. That's really quite obscure... as I said, the interface seems to be designed by someone without any UI or UX principles... sigh... anyway my tag expires in July... I'm currently not aware of any instructions whether we should tap 'Renew' first and receive the new tag before tapping 'Deactivate' for the old tag or the other way round? The FAQ is focused only on registration and installation but nothing on renewal... I guess they haven't thought of the process yet so no FAQ... Oh well... After reading ur post, I tried both viewing the VEP website (above) on mobile and PC - hey presto! the green "Renewal" button now appears. so I clicked on it and did the following - update car owner new passport details (need to be valid at time of application/renewal) - update new insurance Co and policy details now they send me an email to - arrange for VEP (new?) collection and payment - upload COE + I/C + insurance cover note via the alternative website (vpams.jpj.gov.my) but I'm still struggling to do this. Maybe the renewal (application) needs to go thru first - will try again in a few days time... Edited June 1 by Gz0707 ↡ Advertisement

Daniu82 Supercharged June 1 Share June 1 I already registered and verified my VEP tag in 2022. I also linked my tag to my TnG e wallet. I went to JB twice with the tag on my headlight but I am not sure if the thing is working or not. My understanding is the gantry should open automatically right? But it’s not working and I just tapped my TnG card on the sensor and move on. Can some experts here clear my doubt? I am going in again in 2 weeks time. TIA! Yes your tag is not working... same like mine... mine installed in 2019 by the fitment centre in Johor... plus tested by them... my Dad did his also around the same time... his works (gantry forensic automatically at the immigration counter) but mine doesn't... his is pasted on the windscreen but mine is pasted on the headlamp... we were given advice to not allow power jetsprays to wash the car... but I've sent my car through automatic car washes, hand washes in Singapore and car washes in Malaysia that use power jets... not sure if that is the cause but the tag remains intact on my headlamp... when I inspect it's not broken or anything... I didn't bother... just use my TnG card lor...

Immigration counter or toll? Cuz some say the newer vep rfid strip cannot be used to pay road charge at counters but can pay tolls. I'm using the old blue vep stuck on solar film of windscreen, works for both road charge and toll. So far 100% clear.
Fellows 4th Gear June 2 Share June 2 (edited) My TnG account was registered with my old passport, this VEPAMS website stated need to be NRIC same as TnG eWallet. The setup requirement is different and now I cannot continue with VEP registration. Great sia TnG and VEP don’t talk to each other when doing account setup. TnG setup using passport number, VEP to link TnG eWallet using NRIC which is not even available for Singaporean. VEP also weird la for foreigners that should use passport ans it’s for system for foreigner instead of NRIC which is usually use on own country. Additionally I have collected my new SG passport so current TnG account the passport detail is still tagged to my old passport number and also no fills to add in NRIC which is required by VEP. Inside the TnG account system both passport and NRIC all unable to self update. Win liao lor, Malaysia Boleh! Any expert on this? - How to update TnG account with NRIC so to link and same with VEP? - How to update my new passport details into TnG account? Why all different story sia, my colleague just told me the new VEP RFID Tag which is what Malaysia told us to do now can use to pay immigration counter (old school is currently physically need 2 tap of TnG card before immigration barrier open) as well as highway toll under MyRFID lanes aka both also can coz he self registered in March 2024. Fellows 4th Gear June 2 Share June 2 (edited) To paste the VEP RFID Tag inside in the windscreen, where is the most suitable location to stick it? Bought an acrylic with holder from Shopee so it’s easily removable to restick, coz i don’t want to stick on exterior headlight (too ugly) or directly on windscreen (coz if change windscreen that RFID tag gone too) Edited June 2 by Fellows

I planning to ask for mailing service and self paste interior of the windscreen too but using the acrylic RFID holder thus not directly on the windscreen like yours.
