They said it's to prevent car theft and car cloning and to ensure we pay traffic offences fines... basically they need the license plate to tag to your passport number... taking the license plate as you drive in and tagging it to your passport in their system is best... got ID of both car and driver... they can easily get chassis number if they're doing enforcement by cooperating with Singapore Traffic Police and LTA... this way the system is independent of users... don't need us to register and dependent on whether we bother to register or not... but if they can be so zhai we die already lor...

Confirm you're correct... so you have to write in to them to explain you didn't activate but already expire... so need to apply for new one... wait 6 months for a reply lor...

i managed to register at vep.jpj.gov.my and also managed to login to vepams.jpj.gov.my

BUT in vepams.jpj.gov.my i dont see any option to upload my documents eg insurance cert etc??!

Can... some users here are on the TnG RFID... but it doesn't solve the problem of the VEP registration which they'll check on entry... no VEP, no entry according to them but I just wonder if their system even has your registration... cos the ministry of works system likely separate from the immigration department's system... plus enforcement should come from the works department and not immigration... so why should the immigration officer bother to check? And since this is a federal initiative, it must mean that the federal government must provide resources to check and enforce... but why would the immigration side do it unless the Johor MB enforces it? But if we can't go in cos we're waiting for our tags or for them to sort out all the activation/deactivation nonsense, it will be big blow to Johor's economy so the Johor MB is not likely to be so enthusiastic about helping to enforce this measure...

It's just very badly designed... probably by some kid who doesn't understand the principles of UX & UI...

You got to go to the Vehicles section, select your vehicle and then I think the option to upload is at the page where it loads your vehicles details... see previous page where there are screenshots of the relevant page...

This is MoT initiative.  Both Immigration and MoT is under Federal.

I login to vepams.jpj.gov.my and the status still stuck in "Pending For Verification". How long does it take to process?
