pengu 2nd Gear November 3 Share November 3 BYD M6 is the first affordable 7 seater EV. So tempted to buy it!! Anyone here already bought/buying it? Im a bit confused though, seems like BYD has 3 ADs? 1826, harmony, and vantage? What’s the difference between them? ↡ Advertisement
Sturtles 6th Gear November 3 Share November 3 Love it Model image is the only one stopping me Ultra value for money even at this high COE period, with radar cruise, 3 row AC etc BYD song, and E6 are the variants of this model used as budget rides M6 is the top tier, but it’s still the same car

Makes sense for those with young families who need to ferry 6. I think we have all gotten used to like minivans 6-7 seaters since the Toyota triplets.
Thaiyotakamli Supersonic November 3 Share November 3 Let me warn you all for those getting BYD While BYD using good blade battery that is safe many did not understand the charging speed of BYD technically max AC charging speed intake is capped at 6.7kw. If ur batt 80kw, u need 10 hours to charge full. Also if i remember correctly they only can take 1 phase charging so if AC is rated 11kw, then u only can charge 3.5kwh. If AC22kw then it will be at capped 6.7kw The DC charging intake speed also slightly slower. Do have more research on charging speed before committing to buy one. If your house carpark have multiple slow charging lot, then ok to buy byd, park overnight and charge

I think this car is pretty decent and last row is better than most suv 7 seater also they got 3 row aircon which is a winner

Maybe the diff will be ur trade in price if u trading in your old car. vantage is biggest at alexandra share same building with peugeot i reckon just go the one nearest ur house when u do servicing or claim warranty will be more convenient

Agree, as its not full sized or even mid sized MPV due to the lower ceiling, but 3rd row seating is acceptably decent. For the once a week errand. the kids and helper can sit at the back where elderly is concerned. Amazingly, it has a unique feature Tesla Model Y has, which is a fold flat rear/middle seat, which gives a camp bunking feature, whereas Y does not come with 7 seats Have tried the Serena, and it has interesting an drivetrain, but the driver seat is compromised, and the build quality is meh... Tianmo Hypersonic November 3 Share November 3 Seen both the M6 and the MIFA 7. If the need is a good price EV kids and maid mover for 3-4 years, M6 is the best option now. But will also have to keep in mind that the kids will grow up quite fast, esp boys, and the 2nd row is not actually very wide. If there is intention to keep the EV long, as the kids grow up, and can stretch the budget, my personal choice is the MIFA 7. 3

Beanoyip Turbocharged November 4 Share November 4 Definitely need to check, for DCFC, some up to 75kw, larger battery 115kw. BYD Seal can up to 150kw.. so choose based on your needs. Unltd 5th Gear November 4 Share November 4 The pictures in the marketing materials is misleading, it makes 2nd row look like captain seats when it fact it is a bench for 3 seater.

Now seems more and more EVs on the road, and I notice the charging points around me are always occupied. At 400km range, I probably need to charge the M6 twice a week at my current usage rate. But if finding a convenient charging point is a challenge, maybe I need to consider somemore….. But I really like the design of the m6 and the price of it haha

The BYD M6 webby put 35mins 30-80% on DC. 🤔 ↡ Advertisement
