Ya probably true. I also expect the petrol stations to be very sparsely space out throughout the island to achieve operational cost optimisation. One will need to drive much further just to top up.

Don't understand why car dealers say sales will be affected.. all the COEs every round are taken up so the number of car sold is fixed and constant.. are the dealers saying that they unable to jack up the selling price if demand is lower?

Dealers are better prata flippers mah. They can flip their prata faster and bigger than our policy makers mah. Lol...they are good friends with policy makers.

The way these dealers talk got no sense. But I can see they especially the used car dealers might be worried, if the COE correct by a large margin, their used cars especially those 2019/2020 cars bought at high price with low COE paper value might be affected .

These cars have very low scrap value and scrapping them prematurely to cut loss is not an option.

Just used car dealers about to take a bath on their existing stock. COE will probably slide a bit and people will delay purchases a bit so short term effect.

New car dealers happy they have 20k additional volume over next few years

Actually, Sales Exe smarter. But its a matter of time before IRAS also come into action for comms on insurance and Loans.

Governments are the best salesmen. They sell you hopes and dreams but in reality you are getting taxed and lied to

20,000 buyers will buy new instead of used.

Used car prices will fall.

Imagine 20,000 new flats in your area.

Sure people buy new and not a resale right?

Resale price affected or not?
