This the guy who would do final rites for the poor and lonely one right? Respect people who do this type of less 'glamour' charities, like last rites, and palliative.

True also. If the stories are true, some of the lonely old folks in Lengkok Bahru claimed they have children who don't keep in touch with them anymore.

It seems with the change in the society, the lifestyle has changed. Stress levels are different, people are different.

Grandparents' days, one go to work, wife stay at home taking care of 6 to 7 children and still able to sustain.

These days, couple with children seemingly already stressful, then with housing loans and elderly parents.

Grandfather's days is about survivability. 

Nowadays, it is thrivability. Just survive is no face. Must thrive. If cannot thrive, then max loan until thrive.

volunteer to send the lonely w a decent funeral and sign up to be engaged to the lonely folks.

 

cheapest $5k but there are pro bono folks who believe in doing such deeds for these folks

there are very good reason why they are lonely.
