Sengkang West New EV Bus Depot

New 5-storey Sengkang West bus depot will have 240 EV chargers & staff quarters with 39 apartments.

 

I only hope the depot is designed to cope with fire from the EV batteries.

Wonder can charge vehicle at cheaper rates since they install solar panels.

If a EV Bus Captain only work 4 Hours Driving & 4 Hours Charging the Bus,i also will apply the Job.

Bus Captain could be working in split shift.  4 hours work, 4 hours sleep and 4 hours work.

It stated that the depot will be fitted with 240 EV chargers that can each fully charge single-deck buses in less than one-and-a-half hours.

But is this the first time that the bus company provide quarters within the bus depot?

wasn't there an ask in Apr 24 from LTA seeking public proposal on how to best removing burning EV buses from depot? So they found a solution already? 

if there is no solution, why would anyone want to stay in the 39 apts? If burning bus and apts near each other, how to escape?
