For the gobi desert  clip, saw 3 sg registered cars exhibit their off road capabilities to tackle the terrain, LC300, GLE450 and XC60. Power🤣

Actually it is most boh hua(not economically  viable) to use a sgp registered car for expedition because of the high COE and ARF etc, imagine if one can buy a car in TH or somewhere and use it, would it be more viable ? Even at some point along the way experiencing a  major breakdown or damage, one can easily write it off and get a new one before moving on. Or i am wrong ?

bragging rights.

No need to work as he’s a retired piano teacher.

Previous long trip set aside $100k savings. No deep pockets, no unlimited annual leave, how to achieve?

As long got money, can do almost anything..

I wonder how much would such a trip cost? 100-200k?

I have been following his socials on Facebook and YouTube. Think he mentioned it’s between $10k to $20k. This is excluding any possible damage to the car which might happened along the way.

Can't be so cheap, the insurance alone will be $5-10k at least..

For motor own damage insurance, you can't buy cross-border insurance from Singapore.

Travel insurance only cover rental car.

In most countries he drove through, he can only get 3rd party liability.
