Eh? I thought your wife was the one who insist on taking the infant bed along and you had to carry it like a GPMG??? Now don't want to lug a lightweight child seat along? You got those dual use type - detachable car seat that can be attached to the stroller? That will do...

Bro

its precisely because we have that GPMG that we can’t bring anymore

Don’t  even suggest to her 😮‍💨

I’m not nuts about HK but it’s a stopover on my work trip so she latched on

happy wife happy life ya

anyway I need a nice fancy place that’s kid friendly if possible to celebrate anniversary haha

any place in SG or HK that’s sells cheap or affordable jewelry too 😅

the Harbour city mall at TST is quite big with many F&B and branded shops just nice for Mrs to 买东西,吃东西, after anni dinner can get jewelry or watches there [laugh]

can try this restaurant, the executive chef is a Singaporean. Need to book in advance if you want to try the duck cos there is a daily limited.

Once you’ve left SG you’ll find smokers, food is more salty and oily and apart from Japan and maybe Iceland, streets are dirtier

That's something I find very annoying overseas too... especially in Europe... smoking is like everywhere...

It's a dead end now... those who want the old ways have to shift out... China doesn't need Hong Kong's international reputation anymore... Shanghai, Beijing, any first tier city is better than Hong Kong... but reputation wise, now all the same...

From a bystander's perspective, it's a bit sad... cos in the past, their pop culture, movie industry, was so influential... for those of us who lived our youth through the heady days from the 70-90s from the pearl of the orient to a bit of an afterthought now...

I find Malaysia not so bad... perhaps I visit mainly the tourist areas or areas where more upmarket so maybe fewer smokers? Not sure... but in the old towns, yup... same same... smokers all over...

I think those old school started on cigarettes won't switch easily...

Vape doesn't smell foul like cigarettes but I think the vapour is more toxic... and that sickly sweet smell I cannot stand also...

FYI the town check in is now limited to Cathay and HK airlines only

so I’ll need to leave my hotel extra early when I go over for my trip
