It has been alot changes, i think they revamp include some options including the ads.

From the mobile apps, the ads takes so much spaces and I wrongly clicked the ads on the page a few times, sometimes it shows 2 ads on the same page.

The previous mobile app was so much user friendly, different from the desktop version.

Now, the current mobile app is very similar to desktop version, follow the same steps if you want to search on both platforms.

If you want to search for specific car, the mobile apps is no advisable as it seems too much spaces on the ads and have to scroll down alot more to the bottom cars.

I would rate this revamp for more ads collecting money.

Not a fan of the revamp, they removed the option to show more listings per page. Most likely to boost page views, but makes it a pain to browse, my car-siao frens also hate the redesign, search has gotten worse. The full white background for all the listings also makes it harder on the eye to browse for long-periods of time. 

Not gonna be good for sgcarmart metrics. Previous design was working perfectly. Redesign totally puts me off casually browsing for fun.

Can't even search with incomplete search term.

If you search Mercedes E300 it wants you to click the whole Mercedes Benz word first before showing the results. Basic search also difficult.

Hate the new look. Super not user friendly. Don’t understand why need to fix something when there was no need to. Previously GUI was so much better, easier to navigate and faster!

Not ST for very long liao. Now is Toyota. New owner, new boss, must show new thing. But I'm certain near-term viewership will drop quite a lot because it's no longer as friendly to use. 

it feels like it priorities visuals and pageviews over target audience usability.

I thought they would have revamped the filters as well, but no. Still the same old filters. Basically only new skin, and the new skin doesn't look good. Looks like a copy of Carouhell cars section.

You are right, looks very similar to carousell, esp with the full white background, black text and rounded off buttons/text fields.

 

Old one with the alternate background shades made it much easier on the eye esp when browsing. full black text with full white background is very stark and unpleasant to read.

Not sure about sgcarmart as I have no money to buy car, but the number of advertisement on mycarforum is very disturbing and annoying.

And some advertisement even appears in the middle of my post! Make mcf like some tabloid with advertisement hidden among news articles.

Indeed, the numbers of advertisement and advertisement video appears recently while reading mcf post very annoying. Lol.

And you know what’s the worst thing about these ads and the layouts? They are not designed to be mobile friendly, so even though there are ads which you can see, actually you can barely see them especially on mobile as the fonts and design of the ads are not for the screen size.

So the ads although paid for, brings about little to no value to the party paying for it… 

Double whammy, users get irritated, screen blocked, buttons blocked, hard to click to close. For parties paying for advertisement, little value because people can hardly see the ads on mobile.

Correct. Tried browsing on web browser and didn't get much ads.

On mobile Safari, the whole ad stalled the search result. I had to refresh.

I use ad blockers on both my desktop computer and mobile phone browsers. No problems with ads
