Maybe price adjusted +10%

Portion lower -10%....

Doubt they would adjust the pricing menu. Not costs effective. Imagine reprinting all the memu/brochure/promotion materials.

Wait till buy restaurant /hotel mooncakes from atrium fair... thinking it's like normal retail....

Say put $50, then at counter say need to include GST is $54.50.

Ya, the other day when i went to a workshop to patch a tyre, the guy there told me $10, then when i was paying the guy, he says need to include GST and pay $10.90. 😅

will the portion get 19% smaller? 😅

well anticipated. Or the ingredient quality might drop.

A lot of the authorities study failed to address this (not adjusted for quality and quantity) when they compare food prices and claim little or no inflation.

Ask for invoice. If no invoice can report him to IRAS. That's taking ah kong's money. Not yours.

If you don't ever need his service forever.

If the business pay a lot of input GST (GST for purchases), it is better to be GST registered.

True, many times it is the process of delivering the food there that might got the food contaminated. The food is not contaminated when it was cooked in the kitchen. Always the case of how the food is handle, store and deliver after the food is cooked.

Sometimes how some of those deliver guys handling the food during delivering, you see liao also can sweat. There was once when i saw the pau shop at toa payoh central, how the deliver guy unload those tray of pau from the deliver truck, it really makes me not to buy from them anymore. 😅

the steam will kill the bacteria... 😁

Revenues more than 1m a year is compulsory.

I think they should have selling maybe 10 sets of tyres a day.

I like this nett price thing. Some countries restaurants need to advertise net price in their menu which make sense.

When you go shopping, almost ALL prices include GST and is nett price. So why is restaurant different? so we can learn maths?

I dislike, immensely, the whole ++ thing. What you see is what you should pay, why should I do maths in my head to cross-check the final price before ordering.

The fact is, these days, adding ~20% on top of the price seen is unrelatable to the advertised price in a menu. This needs to be banned, put everything in the advertised price and we know the final cost. This means adding it all in, fine, this is the way it needs to be.

Not liddis count leh. 10% x 9% is 19.9% leh.

I ate at PT a number of times coz their price are above average. Glad they remove the gst and service charge. Planning to go this weekend. Expecting a crowd though.

Thesedays, the menu is mostly a website on the phone by asking pple to scan the QR code. Not hard to change price.

For those who insist on hardcopy menus, they will just sticker over with  the new price

Make enough from the new price, then only reprint  those hardcopy menus.

That's what I observed from some of the F&B establishments that I go.

if there is a crowd means the kitchen is busy.

if the kitchen is busy, means the chef might do smth wrong or careless.

Its a good gesture from Putien. Less of Service Charge and GST is alot of saving. I credit them for this initiative especially the Service Charge which is way dated and rampantly abused by business. Time to give them a chance.
