How unfortunate and ironic had it kaboom while sitting waiting for parts.
Will also probably take down its fellow siblings sitting at the lot. 🤪

The best EQE start a Explosion & took down the whole C&C Workshop, with no Death or Injuries...then NEA & SCDF will look into this Matter....

If a quite New Car took Months to fix a Fire Risk,i don't have Confident continue driving further down the Road, should ask C&C give him a new Car.

assuming it is really a fire risk, C&C will fix it(assuming again, they could fix it), then getting a new replacement without fix maybe more dangerous. 😁

voodoo said there was a replacement car. so somewhat ok la.

in SGP, all the used cars, including EVs are sold at a depre similar or close to a new cars, so there may not be buffer for battery replacement, moreover, the new battery replacement cost seems to be very costly at this current juncture, that is assuming a dealer is able to secure new batteries for repalcement, there have been reports that people waiting for months for battery replacement in overseas.

In countries outside of SGP, the battery replacement cost could be higher than the price  of the old car itself.

If a Car need to repair like this,i won't want it,most likely Endless Repair in the Future, after Warranty Over hefty Repair Bills are comfirmed.

Battery replacement cost should fall.  If you follow the industry, LFP battery cells has dropped 51% in 1 year and still falling.  Now 2/3 of EV cars are cheaper than ICE equivalent cars in China.  Exciting times ahead.

In SG context, Denza D9 just launched with 10 years, 200k km warranty on the battery.  Mai tu leow.  😂😂😂

Battery degradation > 70% likely after 250k km.

A lot of drivers will not hit that mileage.

First Korea, now UK, both became intertaional news, Merce is going to be i big big trouble, first sales slump,  next lose money, then law suits soon.

But the car transporter vessel last year enroute from Netherlands to Singapore that caught fire, also reportedly started by a Merc or Porsche. No real news since.
